Activities

 

The SCENE project Workplan includes core and cross activities to achieve SCENE goals. The core activities, directly connected to project aims, are specified in Work packages as follows:

  • DESIGN OF SCENE PBL WORKING ENVIRONMENT: designing the "SCENE PBL working environment" which is an ICT learning solution that enable and support teachers, trainers, headmasters/school managers to acquire and transfer professional skills focused on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach (methodological/ technological design);
     
  • SCENE COURSE CONTENT PRODUCTION: developing of the scenarios for the practical sessions and the Learning Objects (learning material) for the SCENE e-course (course contents development);
     
  • SCENE WORKING ENVIRONMENT PRODUCTION: developing of a cutting edge integrated online working environment constituted by the e-learning platform, the PBL Repository and the Virtual Facilitator based on the Intelligent Agent (IA) technology (technological development);
     
  • EXPERIMENTATION: testing the on line "SCENE PBL working environment" through the following steps: 1) delivering of the PBL training path for teachers, trainers, headmasters/school managers through the inductive method by practicing scenarios according to each target group specific disciplines (practice) and then benefiting from the on line course on the PBL method theoretical topics (theory); 2) testing the "Virtual Facilitator" as tool which aims to guide teachers, trainers, headmasters/school managers to build the suitable scenarios for each discipline/ problem.

 

Cross Activities, essential to ensure quality of process and products as well as the project results promotion and exploitation, are specified in Work packages as follows:

  • MANAGEMENT: ensuring supervision and coordination of project overall activities from a managerial and administrative point of view for the whole project duration, in order to achieve the defined goals, results;
  • QUALITY AND EVALUATION PROCESS: guaranteeing an ongoing/continuous process of evaluation (assessment, monitoring, maintenance and improvement) throughout the project entire duration with the purpose to assure and high quality of both project "process" and "products";
  • DISSEMINATION: designing and undertaken of the valorization plan (focused on both dissemination and exploitation activities) in which each communication tool addresses the different kind of end-users and potential stakeholders with the purpose to make the project results/products visible to others, especially the target groups and the key-actors that can implement its use;
  • EXPLOITATION: transferring the successful results of SCENE to appropriate decision-makers in regulated local, regional, national or European systems (Mainstreaming) and convincing individual end-users to adopt and/or apply the results of SCENE project and to "pass it along" (Multiplication).
